My condolences to you. Mrs. Pollard was one of the most influential teachers in my life. She taught so many to love and appreciate the arts in so many ways. I will never forget going to the Police concert in Orlando. My mom only let me go because you guys would be there. Unforgettable. Her positive influence in the lives of so many will keep her memory alive.

Mrs Pollard is the reason I know anything about the arts, humanities, and culture in general. She had a gift for teaching the subjects she loved and engaged us all in her classes! Prayers for her and her family!

Mrs. Pollard was a most amazing teacher to say the least. Her passion for any subject made it that much better. Her amazing slides from all of her travels and stories around them, was a journey in itself. Thank you Deb!

I was one of the lucky ones that went with Mrs. Pollard to New Orleans to see the King Tut artifacts. Her love and enthusiasm were contagious. I will always remember her impact on my life.

Debbie was brilliant, funny and kind. I cherished our time teaching together. She were both colleague and friend and made me a better teacher as she willingly shared her insights and experience. Debbie's legacy is found in the thousands of students she influenced through her genuine love for teaching.

I remember Mrs Pollard vividly - she was young and enthusiastic and her humanities class was wide ranging and endlessly fascinating. I am glad she taught for so many years, countless teenagers have been introduced to the glories of Renaissance Art, or Shakespeare, or any of her many other passions. Hearing of her passing is so sad to all of us, even those she taught forty years ago.

Debbie was an amazing mate in our Bible class at First Presbyterian Church. She always had a great experience to explain every circumstance present in our weekly study. She completed the knowledge of our Bible teacher.
She will be missed for her extraordinary personality, for being a loyal friend and best person.
I am sad for our loss of a good friend but at the same time I celebrate her life since she is at the House of our Lord.
My condolences to her husband, family and friends. Debbie will be in our hearts for ever.

Mrs Pollard was one of my favorite teachers! I loved her classes and was inspired to travel after graduation because of her teaching. She was so good at showing us all the connections of art, music, architecture and history that help us understand others. I use those lessons everyday! Her passing is painful but she lives on in all of us who were her students.

Mrs. Pollard taught me in 1979 - 80 and made such a difference in my life. She taught me to love the humanities and reading. I thanked her many years later and she remembered who I was which meant so much to me' especially since she made the same difference in so many students' lives. God Bless her family.

She had such a fantastic sense of humor that was matched only by her passion and intellect. She was the kind of teacher that actually made you want to seek higher education because she showed you how big the world was and how much there was to learn. I often thought that her intellect was wasted on high school students like me, but later in life I learned she was just what I needed at the time I needed it. She will forever be in my memories and I wish comfort and peace to Pete and the whole family.

Mrs Pollard was such an amazing teacher. The arts "thrilled her" and it showed in her teaching. She was truly a teacher that effected her students and caused them open their eyes. She will surely be missed. Our prayers and condolences to the family.

Mrs. Pollard was my senior English teacher. She was an amazing woman and an incredible teacher. She inspired me to always be and do better. And she always let me eat my breakfast in class because I had her first period.
Thank you Mrs. Pollard..... you were one of the good ones.

The world has lost a beautiful person, an inspiration to so many. Deborah was one of my students at FMHS, and I visited her a few times after I left and she was teaching there. Her classrooms were energized by her passion and caring. My thoughts and prayers go to her family and friends.
